HOPA-1900 is a 19" high brightness that includes a LCD module w/ BI330C inverter and an industrial grade MG22 LCD controller mounted behind the LCD module. At the full brightness setting, the display screen luminance is 1450 nits. At this level, the display is highly readable under bright ambient lighting including direct outdoor sunlight. In addition, the LCD controller MG22 has a wide range brightness control that can adjust the screen brightness down for night viewing
BI330C is a CCFL inverter which operates the very high bright backlights in this LCD module. The inverter has an on-board pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming circuit to provide an extremely wide luminance adjustment range. Over the entire dimming range, there is no noticible lamp flickering and the uniformity of the backlight is well maintained. It is not necessary to synchronize the PWM circuit to the vertical sync signal of the LCD.
MG22 LCD Controller
MG22 is an LCD controller specifically designed for industrial LCD applications. The MG22 card uses the Gensis gm5221 chip. It supports TFT LCD modules up to SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) native resolutions (1.31 MPixels) with 16,777,216 colors.
For video inputs beyond the SXGA resolution, the MG22 displays a window with the native resolution of the LCD in an image space of the video input resolution. The user can pan this window in the image space via the mouse. In addition, the MG22 supports the unique feature of being able to provide a very wide range of screen brightness control. With a proper Landmark inverter, the LCD screen brightness
