HOAP-4200 is a 42" high brightness LCD kit specifically designed for digital signage and other PID (Public Information Display) applications. The kit contains an HOPA-4200 high brightness LCD module with inverters to operate the backlight and an industrial grade LCD controller to run the LCD. At the full brightness setting, the display screen luminance reaches 850 Cd/m2 (nits), 70% brighter than a standard 42" LCD TV.
The HOPA-4200 has 1,366 x 768 native resolution. At 850 nits brightness, the image on the screen resembles thesuperb quality of traditional advertising signs that use light boxes behind color transparencies.This 42" DIP kit is also available as HOAP-4200. The “P” specifies that the 24V and the 12V DC power supplies required to run the high bright backlight and the LCD are mounted directly behind the LCD module completely wired (except the AC cable), to be installed readily in a display case.
Display Optional Performances
Screen Luminance (Brightness)
When the backlight is adjusted to the full brightness and the LCD displays the brightest white color, the screen luminance (brightness) of the HOPA-4200 is 850 nits. As the backlight brightness is adjusted down, the LCD screen brightness decreases accordingly. Since HOPA-4200 is a normally black display, the specified screen brightness (850 nits) is measured with the LCD driven to the brightest “White” color. That is, the LCD controller must be adjusted (using the OSD) to its optimal setting to display the brightest “White”. When the LCD is properly driven, the measured brightness of this brightest “White” should be within 5 - 10% of the specified 850 nits value
