The RS8 4G Fibre supports various RAID levels, including multi-level RAID30, 50,and 60. RS8 FS ensure the long-term data integrity and reliability with extensive utilitie s like disk cloning and disk scrubbing to proactively prevent performance degradation and data loss due to disk failure or latent bad sectors. UltraStor™ RS8 FS also supports Windows multi-path technology (MPIO) tolerating path failure while aggregating bandwidth of multiple FC connections for higher data availability and system performance.

The new RS8 4Gb Fibre subsystem offers multiple management options to match your workflow, and can be completely auto configured in minutes using the convenient front LCD control panel, and monitored or reconfigured through a remote connection. A comprehensive menu screen facilitates the setup process and lets users reconfigure the system as storage needs change. An RS232 interface gives users access to advanced features such as multiple array settings, fibre channel parameters (connection mode, ID, LUN mapping, etc.) SNMP features and security options. A network interface is available for remote web browser based management and includes the essential tools required to manage and monitor your RS8 FS.
UltraStor RS8 FS 4Gb Fibre RAID subsystem allows dynamic RAID expansion to an optional secondary JBOD unit, the RS16 JS, through an embedded Mini-SAS expansion port. The embedded expansion port on the advanced UltraStor models helps reduce your total cost of ownership and protects your investment.
